Valentino Garavani
Valentino is a fashion house fashioned by Valentino Garavani, born on May 11, 1932, in the town of Voghera, Italy. He became interested in fashion as in high school, and at age 17 he enthused to Paris to follow this interest. He exhausted several years there, taking jobs with designers Jean Desses and Guy Laroche. He moved to Rome in the starting of the 1960s and started his own fashion house, Valentino. In 1990, he cofounded the L.I.F.E. Association with Giancarlo Giammetti, a plan for the support of AIDS victims. He is at present 72 years old, still designing, and living in Rome.
Tom Ford
Tom Ford, born on August 27, 1961 in Austin, Texas, is an American fashion designer. He is considered one of the most famous and powerful designers ever. After graduating from the Parsons School of Design in 1986, originally having studied architecture, he took design jobs with Cathy Hardwick and Perry Ellis. During 1990, Gucci's creative director Dawn Mello recruited him to design women's ready-to-wear, and afterward Ford moved on and became the chief director for Gucci. By 1999, Ford had brought Gucci from an approximately bankrupt business to a fashion power worth 4.3 billion dollars. When Gucci acquired the house of Yves Saint Laurent, Ford was named the original director of that label as well. In 2004, Ford stepped down from both of his positions, with talks about deficient to direct films. Openly gay, Ford considers himself married to his partner of almost two decades, Richard Buckley (1948- ), a fashion and style journalist who resigned on 4 February 2005 as editor in chief of the publication "Vogue Hommes International". Ford has mentioned in an interview that he would like to have children, but that Buckley is beside the idea. Noted for his interest in current architecture, Ford has commissioned houses from the Spanish architect Alberto Campo Baeza and the Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
Donatella Versace
Donatella Versace was born on May 2, 1955 in Italy. Similar to her brother Gianni Versace she is a fashion designer. In the 1970s she began designing knitwear in Florence at the same time as studying Italian literature. Following her graduation, she communal a flat with her brother in Milan. Previous to murder of her brother Gianni (in July of 1997), Donatella and Santo Versace maintained inferior jobs in his fashion house. Though, after the death of Gianni, Donatella took over the running her brother's business. At present overseeing the fashion house, she has performed well as the Versace name continues to produce. Alexander Mcqueen
Alexander McQueen (born Lee McQueen, 17 March 1969) is one of the most powerful British fashion designers. He has mastered 6 methods of pattern wounding from the flamboyant styles of the 16th Century to the sharp, contemporary tailoring which has become his name. Born in the East End of London on 17 March 1969, the son of a taxi driver, Alexander, whose actual name is Lee McQueen, started organization up dresses for his three sisters at a young age and announced his meaning of becoming a top designer. McQueen went on to leave school at 16, landing himself an apprenticeship with top Savile Row tailors Anderson and Shepherd, then functioning for Gieves and Hawkes and the well-known theatrical costumiers Angels and Bermans. Previous to opening his own studio in East London in 1992, McQueen developed a reputation for argument and shock tactics, with trousers appropriately named "bumsters", and a collection entitled "Highland Rape". His challenging designs attracted small but loyal customers, including such powerful fashion figures as stylist Isabella Blow, who purchased all from his first collection, and was said to have convinced McQueen to change his name from Lee to Alexander when he launched his fashion career.
Betsey Johnson
Betsey, born in Connecticut and spent her childhood in dance classes. Her aspirations to be a dancer and her love for costumes laid the base for Betsey's creativity and inspiration, which is still obvious in her designs today. In 1964, Betsey formally entered the New York fashion scene by charming Mademoiselle magazine's "Guest Editor Contest”. What would soon become known as Betsey's brand look began its formulations here: sexy silhouettes, hippie inspired flowing fabrics, whimsical detailing and, most importantly, a wonderful fit. In 1969, Betsey began her raid into retail by opening a new boutique called Betsey Bunki Nini. After a decade of designing for other labels, Betsey determined to make a theatrical change in her life and in 1978; she formed a partnership with Chantal Bacon and in progress the Betsey Johnson label, as it is recognized today. Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren (born 1939) is a family name. Jamaica has even issued a remembrance stamp (in 2004) featuring Lauren. The man and his brand's logo of a polo player riding a horse are documented by all. From a $50,000 loan in 1968, Polo Ralph Lauren's modest beginnings grew into the globally famous lifestyle brand which everybody knows today. Lauren was one of the first designers to make bigger his production of clothing lines to house ware and furniture. He was also the primary of the megabrand American designers to set up shop in Europe, in 1981; the Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation now has 280 stores in operation internationally and its collections are divided into myriad dissimilar labels. John Galliano
John Galliano is one of Britain's fashion designers. Born in 1960 to a functioning class Gibraltan family, Galliano lived on the island until leaving at the age of six for south London. But it was the young Juan Carlos Antonio's early life, with its spiritual ceremonies and sun-drenched culture, which has proved a constant motivation for Galliano's stylistic eclecticism wedded to the Latin tradition of 'dressing-up' has become his name. And it was that graduation collection - enthused by the French Revolution and titled 'Les Incroyables' - that was bought by Joan Burstein of Browns, catapulting the youthful designer into the spotlight. In 1990 - after suffering a period infamous for problems with backers and collections deemed uncommercial because they dared to dream past the conventional - Galliano started to show in Paris, touching to the city in 1992. Marc Jacobs

Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney was born September 13, 1971 in London, England is a British fashion designer. McCartney learned her deal at St Martins College of Art & Design. She was almost immediately successful, with her graduation collection being sported at the graduation show by supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. The show complete front-page news, and the whole collection was sold to Tokio, a London boutique. In 1997 McCartney was chosen chief designer at Paris fashion house Chloe, following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld. Her designs enjoyed substantial commercial success. In 2001 she resigned from the house in order to enter into an eponymous joint undertaking with the Gucci Group. In 2003 she prolonged her brand into perfume. Stella is the daughter of previous Beatle Paul McCartney and vegetarian food entrepreneur Linda McCartney. Some in the press have suggested that McCartney's meteoric rise during the fashion industry was partially helped by her having famous parents.
